About Me!

Hello! My name is Allison Fries, and I am currently a studio artist and educator based in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Arts in Art Education at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). My current practices move between sculpture, printmaking, fiber art, and photography. I often explore themes of the body, material intimacy, and the expression of emotion. Alongside my studio practice, I am passionate about community-based art and arts education, having internships with nonprofit organizations and youth art programs to create collaborative projects and accessible art experiences. My work is grounded in both material experimentation and commitment to art as a tool for connection and community.
